Hospice Executive Director - Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

-Serve as the appointed Administrator of Record, ensuring alignment with state and federal hospice regulations.
- Lead daily operations to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency in clinical and administrative practices.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and regulatory bodies, including state departments and CMS.
- Develop and monitor site budgets, staffing plans, and operational goals in coherence with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders for effective team development and care delivery.
- Oversee hiring, performance management, and staff training in partnership with Human Resources and executive leadership.
- Drive business development by nurturing relationships with referral sources and community stakeholders.
- Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives through active involvement in QAPI and strategic planning.
- Facilitate staff training on hospice philosophy, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety protocols.
- Maintain effective communication and foster team engagement through regular meetings and coaching.
- Ensure prompt reporting and resolution of incidents, grievances, and compliance concerns.
- Provide on-call leadership support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, health administration, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five years in healthcare or hospice management roles.
- Meets regulatory requirements to serve as Administrator in Texas:
- In-depth understanding of hospice philosophy, CMS Conditions of Participation, and applicable state regulations.
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills across interdisciplinary teams.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, and compassion.
