We are excited to present the opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to join our client's esteemed academic institution as the Program Director for the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program. As a leader in the education sector, our client is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals. This role is pivotal in shaping the program's success by ensuring its alignment with educational standards, regulatory requirements, and industry demands.

Key Responsibilities:

Administration, Compliance  & Operations:

- Guarantee the LPN program fully complies with Illinois Board of Nursing regulations and relevant accrediting bodies, overseeing preparations for audits and site visits.

- Act as the main liaison between the program and both institutional leadership and external stakeholders to promote program relevance and industry alignment.

- Manage program operations, including budgeting, clinical placements, and staffing, ensuring financial performance aligns with institutional goals.

Academic Leadership & Curriculum Oversight:

- Spearhead the development and assessment of the LPN curriculum to meet educational standards and prepare students for the NCLEX.

- Monitor academic rigor and integrity across courses, while supporting student performance through targeted interventions and assessments.

- Maintain active engagement with students to ensure their academic progression, success, and timely program completion.

Faculty Leadership, Student Success & Advising:

- Lead faculty by providing mentorship, managing performance, and fostering a high-performing academic environment.

- Actively participate in student recruitment, advising, and support, ensuring resources are available for both faculty and students.

- Encourage a learning culture focused on engagement, accountability, and professionalism.

Strategic Growth &  External Engagement:

- Aid in institution-wide growth, program expansion, and recruitment efforts, enhancing program visibility and competitiveness.

- Represent the program in public and professional capacities, ensuring it maintains relevance and standing within the educational community.


Leadership Competencies & Professional Expectations:

- Demonstrate confident leadership with a focus on decision-making, communication, and collaboration.

- Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage and resolve academic and operational challenges effectively.


Requirements:

- Master’s degree in Nursing and licensed or eligible for license in Illinois.

- Proven experience in nursing education, including program and team management within higher education.

- High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability in all interactions.

- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with learning management systems.
