Empowered Staffing is partnered with an organization dedicated to treating individuals facing addiction and mental health challenges. Currently, the team is seeking an experienced Clinical Therapist to join their Fort Wayne facility to provide counseling to clients in both recovery and detox programs.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging and therapeutic group sessions focused on recovery skills, such as coping strategies, relapse prevention, self-care, psychoeducation, emotional regulation, and more.
- Conduct individual therapy sessions to address personal challenges, build therapeutic alliances, and support goal attainment.
- Assist in conducting timely assessments to evaluate client needs, risks, and progress, ensuring interventions are appropriate and effective.
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the care team, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to diverse needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support for clients experiencing acute emotional or behavioral distress, coordinating with on-call resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in electronic health records, including session notes, treatment plans, assessments, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, case managers, nurses, and peer specialists, to coordinate seamless care delivery.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and treatment reviews to share insights and refine care strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, such as training on trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and cultural competency, to enhance therapeutic efficacy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including community outreach, family education sessions, and program evaluation activities, to support the broader recovery ecosystem.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC).
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and 12-Step facilitation.
- Excellent crisis management skills, with training in de-escalation techniques and suicide risk assessment.
- Commitment to cultural humility, trauma-informed care, and inclusive practices for diverse populations (e.g., LGBTQ+, veterans, co-occurring disorders).
