Empowered Staffing is partnered with a rapidly growing owner and operator of healthcare facilities and ancillary healthcare services business. Due to growth, our client is excited to add an Accounting Manager to their corporate team.
The ideal candidate has 6–8 years of experience and is ready to step into a leadership-oriented role supporting the financial oversight of a portfolio of healthcare real estate assets. This individual will partner closely with the Director of Finance and Controller to manage the monthly close process, prepare financial reporting, and analyze portfolio performance to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Oversee the monthly close process for a portfolio of healthcare real estate assets, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, journal entries, and GAAP-compliant reporting.
Partner with the Director of Finance and Controller to analyze portfolio performance, prepare financial reports, and support strategic decision-making.
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including cash activity, bank reconciliations, chart of accounts maintenance, and internal controls.
Prepare and review financial analyses, budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting to support portfolio and operational planning.
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and outsourced accounting providers while supporting annual audits and regulatory reporting.
Monitor debt levels and loan compliance while assisting with loan applications, financial documentation, and lender reporting.
Collaborate with internal teams (AP, AR, operations) to ensure accurate financial data, efficient processes, and timely reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7–8 years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and portfolio-level analysis.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
Advanced Excel and accounting systems experience (Sage Intacct a plus).
Experience supporting audits, budgeting, and financial analysis.
CPA or CMA preferred.
