Empowered Staffing is proud to partner with a nationwide leader in substance abuse and behavioral health treatment, operating across ten residential rehab centers in five states. Currently, the company is seeking a licensed and experienced Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations at a 100-bed inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility in Cambridge, Maryland.

The Clinical Director is a high-impact leadership role ideal for a compassionate, strategic, and results-driven professional looking to lead clinical excellence in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential addiction treatment program, ensuring seamless delivery of care.
  • Ensure full execution of the organization’s clinical roadmap, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of therapists, counselors, and mental health professionals.
  • Build positive relationships with residents; promote a supportive, recovery-focused environment to enhance morale and retention.
  • Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation and coordinate with Utilization Review for optimal billing and care planning.
  • Uphold state, federal, and accreditation standards for substance use treatment and behavioral healthcare.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field (required).
  • Active LCPC or LCSW-C license in the state of Maryland (required).
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a residential, hospital, or behavioral health setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with dual-diagnosis and substance use disorder (SUD) clients.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
