Empowered Staffing is proud to partner with a fast-growing drug rehab and detox treatment provider dedicated to helping individuals recover from addiction. To support continued expansion and ensure efficient revenue cycle operations, the company is hiring an experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager for its substance abuse treatment center in Fort Wayne.
As the AR Manager/Biller, you will use your knowledge of Medicaid billing and revenue cycle management to lead billing, collections, and reimbursement efforts for the facility.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and submit claims to Medicaid, private insurance, and third-party payers for detox, rehab, and behavioral health services.
- Ensure claims are coded correctly and submitted in compliance with payer policies, HIPAA regulations, and state guidelines.
- Track, investigate, and reprocess denied claims. Collaborate with insurance providers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment delays.
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports, post payments, and follow up on unpaid balances to minimize revenue loss and write-offs.
- Prepare regular financial reports for senior leadership, summarizing collections performance, outstanding claims, and revenue trends.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize billing workflows, enhance collection rates, and ensure cash flow consistency.
- Stay updated with Medicare/Medicaid regulations, commercial insurance guidelines, and industry billing standards relevant to behavioral health and addiction treatment.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in medical billing, collections, and AR management within a substance abuse, mental health, or detox treatment facility.
- Deep understanding of Indiana Medicaid and behavioral health billing practices.
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and electronic claims processing platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication skills for working with payers, patients, and internal leadership teams.
