Empowered Staffing has partnered with a fast-growing real estate investment firm with a diverse national portfolio that includes multifamily housing, self-storage properties, and ground-up real estate developments. As they continue to expand across the U.S., the firm is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Acquisition Analyst to join their Skokie, IL office.
As the Acquisition Analyst, you'll have the unique opportunity to source, analyze, and manage new real estate development opportunities from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed market research and competitive analysis to identify high-potential real estate investment opportunities.
- Evaluate demographic trends, economic indicators, and submarket dynamics to support acquisition strategies.
- Build and maintain financial models, including pro forma statements, ROI analysis, and discounted cash flow (DCF) models to assess investment viability.
- Conduct in-depth feasibility studies for prospective ground-up development projects and value-add acquisitions.
- Execute due diligence processes, including zoning analysis, title review, environmental reports, and market comps.
- Identify and assess potential real estate development sites, supporting strategic expansion initiatives.
- Visit prospective properties to evaluate physical condition, location advantages, and development constraints.
- Draft compelling investment memorandums, financial summaries, and deal presentations for internal stakeholders and potential investors.
- Highlight key findings, potential risks, and strategic recommendations related to property acquisitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, real estate development, or investment analysis.
- Strong command of financial modeling, Excel, and real estate analysis software such as ARGUS.
- Ability to interpret complex data, synthesize insights, and make sound investment recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management capabilities.
