Empowered Staffing is partnered with a rapidly expanding healthcare organization dedicated to delivering comprehensive medical services to patients nationwide. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Controller to join their team in Beverly Hills.
The Controller will be responsible for helping to shape and lead the accounting and revenue cycle operations of the company's Wound Care division including managing all billing and collections processes, generating proformas, and conducting audits to ensure compliance and help drive the company's growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full revenue cycle, including billing, coding accuracy, collections, and revenue recognition.
Ensure that all billing processes are aligned with company policies, healthcare regulations, and payer requirements.
Work closely with the billing and coding team to ensure accurate and timely claims submissions and reimbursements.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, proformas, and forecasts related to revenue, cost of services, and profitability.
Provide financial insights through custom reports to support operational decision-making and business growth.
Conduct audits of billing reports to ensure accuracy in coding, billing, and collections.
Identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Develop proformas to evaluate potential new business opportunities, including new clinic openings, service line expansions, and partnerships.
Collaborate with the billing, operations, and finance teams to identify opportunities for process improvement within the revenue cycle.
Recommend and implement best practices to increase efficiency, reduce claim denials, and maximize reimbursement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare finance, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and payer reimbursement processes.
Experience in generating financial reports, proformas, and conducting billing audits.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and payer compliance.
Proficiency in financial reporting tools, billing software, and Microsoft Excel.
