Empowered Staffing is partnered with a mission-driven organization that owns and operates skilled nursing facilities throughout the nation. As they expand, they're looking for an experienced CFO to support the continued growth of the organization and oversee and lead a team of top-performing finance professionals.


The CFO will oversee all accounting, financial, and revenue cycle operations to ensure compliance and help drive the company's profitability. The CFO will also ensure that proper internal controls are in place to support the continued growth of the organization. 


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation and oversight of all policies and procedures devised in conjunction with the financial departments.

  • Develops financial strategies by being proactive, forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans. 

  • Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.

  • Responsible for managing budgets, establishing policy, financial decision-making, controlling margins and debt, and making decisions about assets and resources.

  • Responsible for the leadership and management of the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Accounting Department, and vendor relationships as necessary.

  • Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. 

  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.

  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. 

  • Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on the financial condition of the company to the CEO.

  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the financial infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth of the organization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in revenue cycle, healthcare finance or accounting, or a similar role in the skilled nursing industry (preferred).

  • Strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10), and payer reimbursement processes.

  • Proven experience overseeing all corporate finances and departments including Accounts Payable, Corporate Accounting, and Accounts Receivable.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights.

  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and payer compliance.

  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools, billing software, and Microsoft Excel.
