Position: Charge Nurse (PM Shift)

Whispering Pines, a skilled nursing facility located in Ripon, WI, is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (PM Shift) to join our team.

The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff during the evening shift and ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care. This role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, coordinating care, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support nursing staff during the PM shift
  • Provide direct patient care and respond to resident needs
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Monitor resident conditions and respond to changes appropriately
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards and facility policies
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and resident-centered environment

Qualifications:

  • Current Wisconsin nursing license (RN or LPN required)
  • Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
  • Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience is a plus
  • Strong clinical and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) is a plus
