Edenbrook Appleton, a skilled nursing facility and a part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is currently seeking a: Full-Time Laundry / Housekeeping Aide
Schedule:
- Full-time (32–40 hours per week)
- Early morning shift
- Every other weekend & every other holiday required
Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Laundry / Housekeeping Aide to support the cleanliness and overall environment of the facility.
This role is primarily focused on laundry, but candidates should be flexible and willing to assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Laundry Duties (Primary Focus):
- Collect, sort, and launder resident clothing and linens
- Fold and distribute clean laundry to appropriate areas
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry equipment and laundry room
- Follow infection control procedures at all times
Housekeeping Support (As Needed):
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, and common spaces
- Safely use and store cleaning solutions
- Properly dispose of waste, including infectious materials
- Complete additional cleaning tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- No experience required (training provided)
- Prior laundry or housekeeping experience is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Professional and respectful when interacting with residents and staff
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry laundry bags or cleaning equipment
- Comfortable working in all areas of the facility
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Interaction with residents, staff, and visitors
- Must maintain professionalism and patience at all times
