Our Whispering Pines Nursing & Rehab facility is seeking for an amazing  Housekeeper for our wonderful facility!

Position: Full-time Housekeeper

Schedule: Monday to Friday (6 AM - 2 PM and 8 AM - 2 PM)

Position Summary:

As a Housekeeper at Whispering Pines Nursing & Rehab, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and homelike environment throughout the facility. Your work ensures the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors while helping create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and facility spaces according to established cleaning protocols
  • Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and buffing
  • Remove trash and soiled linens and restock supplies as needed
  • Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate personnel
  • Interact respectfully and compassionately with residents, families, and staff
  • Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Long-term care or hospital experience is preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate and respectful attitude toward elderly residents
