Position: Resident Services Coordinator (Part-time)

The Resident Services Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support for the Social Services and Admissions Department. The Resident Services Coordinator aids the Social Services Director in ensuring residents’ social and emotional needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide general office support for the social services and admissions department, including tasks such as typing, filing, and maintaining admission records.
  • Assist guests and family members in completing the admission process, ensuring all required paperwork is completed and obtaining necessary financial and medical records.
  • Ensure rooms are appropriately prepared before new guests arrive.
  • Maintain infection control and standard precaution practices at all times.
  • Uphold guest comfort, privacy, and dignity, fostering a caring environment through warm and respectful interactions.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest call lights.
  • Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings and in-services.
  • Keep up-to-date evaluation documentation on each guest's activities, complying with regulations.
  • Orient guests and their families to the facility, its services, and guests' rights.
  • Participate in scheduled care conferences, identifying guests' psychosocial needs for inclusion in the care plan.
  • Assist with the coordination, intake, admission, and transfer of guests within the facility.
  • Provide informal counseling when necessary to address any problems hindering guests' socialization and participation in activities
