Friendly Village, part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Aide to join our team.

We are looking for individuals committed to enriching the lives of our residents through purposeful engagement. The Activity Aide will be responsible for organizing and leading person-centered activity programs, including one-on-one interactions, small group sessions, and larger group events. This role also involves accurately documenting resident participation and the effectiveness of activities in the medical record.

Job functions will include:

  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and emotional needs of our residents
  • Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each day
  • Help design programs to encourage socialization
  • Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
  • Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
  • Ensure activity areas are safe and well-maintained
  • Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation
  • Must be available to work every other weekend

  • Problem-solving skills
  • The ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to work under stress while remaining caring and kind
  • Ability to understand and work in a variety of situations in a positive and constructive manner
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to be imaginative, creative, and innovative
  • Musical/ arts & crafts experience preferred
