Position: Lead Cook
Location: Oshkosh, WI | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, dietary guidelines, and resident preferences.
- Kitchen Supervision: Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
- Food Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
- Resident Interaction: Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Training & Development: Train and mentor kitchen team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a cooking or kitchen management role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- ServSafe or equivalent Food Handler’s Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Strong knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
