Position: Memory Care Lifestyle Assistant (Full time )
Weekend availability is required
- Fridays and Saturdays are required
- The position would not require working both Saturday and Sunday
- For full-time candidates, the schedule could include Friday, Saturday, and up to three additional weekdays
- For part-time candidates, the schedule could include Friday, Saturday, and potentially two additional half-days during the week
- Specific hours and scheduling can be discussed during the interview process
Salary Rate: $16 - $17 per hour
The Memory Care Lifestyle Assistant is dedicated exclusively to our Memory Care neighborhood and would be responsible for assisting with the planning, coordination, and implementation of resident engagement programs for individuals living with dementia and other cognitive impairments.
Job functions will include:
- Implement the activity calendar and lead daily engagement programs that promote resident participation, socialization, and cognitive stimulation.
- Facilitate both group and one-on-one activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and individual needs.
- Foster positive relationships with residents while encouraging meaningful engagement and social interaction.
- Maintain activity supplies, department materials, and program resources; monitor inventory and request needed supplies in a timely manner.
- Keep assigned activity areas organized, welcoming, safe, and well maintained.
- Collaborate with team members to support individualized resident preferences and enhance overall quality of life.
- Adapt programs and activities to accommodate varying physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
- Ensure residents receive consistent, meaningful, and enriching programming in accordance with departmental guidelines and established activity calendars.
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and accountability in supporting the continuity and success of resident programming.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous experience in memory care is strongly preferred.
- Consistent attendance, dependability, and reliability, with a strong commitment to providing stable and familiar support for residents.
- A compassionate, reliable, and self-motivated approach to resident care and engagement.
- The ability to consistently follow established programming, departmental procedures, and activity schedules.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and maintain activity resources effectively.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
