Vista Senior Living is seeking a skilled Business Development Director revenue-driving sales professional responsible for generating qualified referral leads that convert to move-ins across Assisted Living, Sheltered Care, and Memory Care communities. This role is laser-focused on building, reactivating, and leveraging referral relationships to consistently produce measurable sales results resulting on move-ins. . In this role, The Business Development Director operates as a market-facing sales hunter, aggressively expanding referral pipelines, driving urgency with referral partners, and holding themselves accountable to conversion outcomes. This position works in close partnership with on-site Sales Directors to ensure referrals are followed through to move-in and to support community events that directly impact occupancy. The role reports to Regional Director of Sales and Marketing (RDSM).

The Business Development Director that will support two communities, Willow Falls Senior Living and Eden Vista Rock Run. The incumbent will be almost entirely in the field working with referral partners.

Resident Rights:

• Knows and respects patients’ rights.

Safety and Sanitation

• Follows established safety policies and procedures.

• Observes safety needs of patients as indicated in the care plan.

• Wears and/or uses safety equipment and supplies when indicated and properly trained to use.

• Demonstrates job-specific knowledge of fire and disaster preparedness during drills or actual situations.


Staff Development

• Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training, educational classes, and meetings to maintain current certification as applicable and as managed by regulatory agencies and company policies.

• Participates in QAA process as needed.


Referral Sales & Market Penetration Responsibilities:

• Aggressively develop, manage, and grow a high-performing referral network including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, rehab centers, senior centers, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and social workers.

• Re-establish inactive or underperforming referral relationships and convert them into consistent move-in producers.

• Execute a disciplined outreach strategy with frequent in-person visits, follow-ups, and targeted sales conversations.

• Clearly articulate value propositions, competitive advantages, and care capabilities to win referrals over competitors.


Lead Generation & Conversion Responsibilities:

• Generate a consistent volume of qualified, move-in-ready referrals.

• Own referral performance by tracking outcomes from referral to tour, assessment, and move-in.

• Partner closely with Sales Directors, RDSM, RDO and Executive Directors to drive urgency, and maximize conversion rates.

• Maintain a strong referral pipeline with short lead-to-move-in timelines.


Community Sales Support & Event Responsibilities:

• Actively support Community teams with on-site community events, professional open houses, and referral-focused marketing initiatives.

• Attend and participate in networking events, healthcare meetings, and industry functions to expand market visibility and lead flow.

• Represent the organization as a sales-focused, solution-oriented partner in the healthcare community.


Performance Tracking & Reporting Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate, real-time documentation of referral sources, activity, and outcomes in CRM systems.

• Analyze referral performance data to identify top producers, gaps, and growth opportunities.

• Report referral volume, conversion rates, and move-in results on a regular basis.

• Keeps the Regional Director of Sales and Marketing informed of all initiatives. 

• Performs other duties as assigned. 


Success Metrics:

Performance in this role is measured by:

• Number of qualified referrals and move-ins generated.

• Total move-ins attributed to referral partners.

• Growth of active referral accounts.

• Contribution to community occupancy goals.

Experience:

• Experience in Health Care Sales and Marketing in an Assisted Living facility is required.
