Eden Vista Apple Valley, part of Vista Senior Living Management, is seeking a compassionate and energetic Life Enrichment Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities.

Position: Life Enrichment Assistant

Hours: 16 hours per week (2 days per week, 8-hour shifts)

Schedule:

The schedule is flexible; however, we are looking for someone who can consistently work the same two days each week, with non-consecutive shifts preferred.

  • Wednesday & Friday

The Life Enrichment Assistant is responsible for organizing, facilitating, and participating in person-centered activity programming that promotes social engagement, independence, and overall well-being. This includes one-on-one visits, small group activities, and larger community events while documenting resident participation and outcomes as appropriate.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing engaging activities that meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual needs of residents.
  • Create opportunities that promote joy, independence, wellness, and meaningful engagement.
  • Encourage resident participation through creative and motivating programming.
  • Lead and assist with group activities, games, crafts, music, exercise, and special events.
  • Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who benefit from individualized activities.
  • Help maintain activity calendars, supplies, and activity areas.
  • Document resident participation and responses as required.
  • Ensure activity spaces remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to provide exceptional resident experiences.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with seniors.
  • Experience preparing and leading activities in a group setting.
  • Experience supporting residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other memory care needs.
