Multi-Site Lead Teacher (Infant–Pre-K)
Children’s Land – Multiple Locations
(Glenview, Wheeling, Lincolnshire, Vernon Hills)
Children’s Land is seeking a dedicated and flexible Multi-Site Lead Teacher to support classrooms across our schools. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about early childhood development and confident working with infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-kindergarten age groups.
The Multi-Site Lead Teacher will provide high-quality care and instruction, ensure classroom consistency, and step into various classrooms as needed to support operations. This position requires strong adaptability, leadership, and a deep understanding of development across all early childhood stages.
This is a full-time position with travel between locations as needed.
Roles & Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children from infancy through Pre-K
Adapt lesson plans and interactions to meet the individual needs and developmental levels of each classroom
Support and maintain structured daily routines including play, learning, meals, and rest
Ensure active supervision and safety of all children at all times
Monitor and document developmental progress and share observations with administration
Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic classroom environment
Collaborate with teaching teams to ensure consistency and smooth transitions between classrooms
Communicate effectively and professionally with families and staff
Step into classrooms as needed to provide coverage, leadership, and support
Create and utilize engaging materials to support sensory, motor, and cognitive development
Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Follow all DCFS licensing standards and Children’s Land policies
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience working with young children (infant–Pre-K preferred)
Experience across multiple age groups is highly preferred
Mandated Reporter Certification
CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between locations
Skills & Attributes
Strong understanding of child development across all early childhood stages
Ability to quickly adapt to different classrooms, routines, and teams
Strong classroom management and active supervision skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Patience, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children
Ability to manage time effectively and multitask in a dynamic environment
Strong observation and documentation skills

• Health Insurance with Children's Land covering 25% of monthly premiums for full time employees
• Paid Leave: 40 hours of paid leave per 12-month period.
• Paid Vacation Days: 5 days per year after completing 1 year of employment, increasing by 2 days after 5 years
and by 3 days after 10 years.
