Position: Temporary Full-Time Cook (6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.)
We are seeking a Temporary Full-Time Cook to join our dietary team for approximately three months. This position plays a vital role in providing nutritious, well-prepared meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. If you have a passion for cooking and a heart for senior care, we would love to have you as part of our team!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines
- Ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and attractively
- Follow all sanitation and food safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies
- Communicate effectively with dietary staff and other departments
- Adhere to special dietary needs and textures as required by residents
- Rotate weekend schedule, with every other weekend off
Requirements:
- Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or institutional setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
